Privacy Policy & Data Notice

Effective Date: October 2026 · Last Updated: October 26, 2026 · Compliant with U.S. State Privacy Frameworks

1. Commitment to Privacy

At LawVetted ("we," "our," or "us"), we treat user confidentiality and data integrity with the highest professional care. When you search for legal counsel or review informational guides on our platform, we do not harvest personal identification information without your explicit affirmative action.

2. Information We Collect and Process

  • Public Directory Records: Attorney profiles, practice locations, and licensing information displayed on LawVetted originate from official state court databases and public bar association records.
  • Search Queries: Location, city, zip code, and practice area searches are processed dynamically to display relevant attorneys. Search keywords are not brokered to data resellers.
  • Intake & Consultation Inquiries: When you complete an intake assessment or request a case evaluation, we collect the details you voluntarily submit (name, phone number, email address, jurisdiction, practice area, and brief case summary) solely to connect you with qualified legal counsel.
  • TCPA Express Consent Verification Records: Pursuant to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227) and FCC telemarketing regulations, when a user submits an intake assessment requesting attorney contact, we automatically record the submission timestamp, originating IP address, and browser User-Agent string as verifiable proof of prior express written consent.

3. How We Share Consultation Information

Information submitted through our consultation intake wizard is routed securely to licensed attorneys in your jurisdiction who practice the relevant area of law. We do not sell, rent, or trade your contact information to unrelated marketing telemarketers or non-legal commercial entities.

4. Security Safeguards & Data Encryption

We deploy enterprise-grade security protocols, including 256-bit TLS data transmission encryption, parameterized SQL queries, HMAC CSRF protection, and restricted administrative access control to safeguard all intake records.

5. Cookies and Anonymous Tracking

We use essential cookies strictly to maintain user sessions, CSRF token security, and anonymous aggregated traffic metrics. We do not deploy invasive third-party cross-site behavioral tracking scripts.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence (including California CCPA/CPRA, Virginia VCDPA, and Colorado CPA), you may possess the right to inspect, correct, or request deletion of personal information previously submitted through our platform.

7. Contacting Our Data Protection Officer

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to request data modification or deletion, please contact our compliance department at [email protected].
